GIA joins mobilization network

Representatives from the Grand International Auxiliary were energized, organized and mobilized at a two-day meeting in Little Rock, Ark.

The GIA ladies were part of a two-day organizational meeting and strategic planning session that introduced them to the BLE's mobilization effort. On hand to administer the program were representatives from the BLE's National Mobilization Team.

During the October 3 and 4 meeting, GIA members worked to develop a new slogan for their organization and held a brainstorming activity to plan a mock mobilization action.

The GIA has tentatively scheduled a candlelight vigil in memory of BLE members killed on the job as one of its first mobilization actions.

Representing the GIA at the meetings were GIA President Ruth Pillman-Windham and GIA Mobilization Team Members Carol Poole, Susie Clyde, Barbara Young, Mary Lee Kennedy, Mabel Grotzinger and Serena Hogan.

Representing the BLE were Vice-President William Walpert, Coordinator of the BLE Education & Training Dept. Larry James; BLE Special Representative Jim Bradford; and National Mobilization Team Member Ken Kroeger. ·
