BLETís Southeastern General Chairmen elect officers
CLEVELAND, July 15 ó The BLETís Southeastern General Chairmenís Association held its annual meeting to conduct business and elect officers in Savannah, Ga., on June 18.
The Southeastern General Chairmen meetings are held each year during the Southeastern Meeting Association (SMA) annual convention.
Brother Mark L. Wallace (General Chairman, Norfolk Southern-Southern Lines General Committee of Adjustment) was reelected to his second term as Chairman, and will also serve as a delegate to the National Wage Committee.
Also elected were Kevin S. Peek (General Chairman, NS-Eastern Lines) as Vice Chairman; Mike L. Tanner (Secretary-Treasurer, CSX-Eastern Lines) as Secretary-Treasurer and Jerry G. Sturdivant (1st Vice Chairman & Secretary-Treasurer, NS-Southern Lines) as Alternate Secretary-Treasurer.
National Vice President Rick Gibbons attended the session and is the Vice President assigned to the BLETís Norfolk Southern GCAs. He reported that in addition to the election of officers, those attending the annual session addressed key concerns of the membership and conducted business for the good of the order.
Chairman Wallace said: ďWe have a good group of officers again this year and I look forward to working together with everyone as we advance the membershipís agenda.Ē
National President Dennis R. Pierce thanked Brother Wallace and all other officers for their ongoing dedication to the Brotherhood.
