Report examines seven ways MBTA’s commuter rail service could be better

BOSTON — The commute from Worcester to Boston is about to get even longer when several upcoming reconstruction projects on the Massachusetts Turnpike get underway. The report, released last week by transit advocacy group TransitMatters, lays out a vision for a fast, frequent, electrified intercity rail network that the group says could become reality with a few relatively minor changes.
