Bills stalling or stopping bullet train pass Texas Senate committee

AUSTIN, Texas — Five bills looking to constrain the Houston-to-Dallas high-speed train’s impact on taxpayers and landowners — and potentially kill the venture — flew Wednesday through the Senate Transportation Committee on a series of 7-0 and 6-1 votes.
