2018 BLET Fourth National Convention hotel deadline extended to August 31

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio, August 27 — Delegates and guests now have until 5:00 p.m. PDT on Friday, August 31, 2018 to make hotel reservations for the BLET’s Fourth National Convention at the guaranteed $99 special convention rate.

The convention will be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. After that deadline passes, all guest rooms in the BLET block will be returned to the Rio for re-sale and the BLET will no longer be able to guarantee room availability. Additionally, rooms that may be available after that date cannot be booked with the BLET discounted convention rate.

Those who have not yet made a hotel room reservations may do so online through the BLET National Division website (https://bletconvention.org)

Reservations can also be made by calling the Rio at (888) 746-6955 and referencing group code SRBLE8.

The BLET’s Fourth National Convention will convene at the Rio in Las Vegas from Monday, October 1, 2018, through Thursday, October 4, 2018. Delegate registration begins on Sunday, September 29. Approximately 500 delegates will represent nearly 37,000 active locomotive engineers and trainmen throughout the United States. They will be charged with nominating candidates for National Division office, analyzing and voting on changes to the Brotherhood’s bylaws, and various other important duties.
