Coal’s share in U.S. power generation forecast to inch up

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Coal’s share in the generation of U.S. power could grow in 2021 and 2022 amid expectations that higher natural gas prices will spur natural gas’ share to decline, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in its Short-Term Energy Outlook on Tuesday.
