(Source: Union Pacific customer advisory, January 13, 2021)
OMAHA, Neb. — High winds with gusts reaching 80-100 miles per hour have been impacting much of southeast Wyoming since early Wednesday morning. The winds are expected to continue through Thursday morning, January 14. Until it is safe to resume service, trains are currently being held between North Platte, Nebraska, and Green River, Wyoming. Customers with shipments moving through the impacted area can expect delays between 36 and 48 hours as we begin to work off the backlog of traffic once operations resume.
