UP: Hydrochloric acid spilled during California derailment

VISALIA, Calif. — The cause of a six-train car pileup remains unknown today, 24-plus hours after the wreck along Highway 99. No one was injured, however, tankers full of hazardous material were at risk of spilling over, closing down the major artery between southern and northern California.
