MTA subway conductor punched in the face while locking up train

NEW YORK — A female train operator was punched in the face in an unprovoked, random attack Monday afternoon, cops said. The 42-year-old operator was locking up the F train at the end of the line in Coney Island station around 1:40 p.m. when she was hit in the left eye, according to the NYPD.
