Despite arrest, Metro-North stays on high alert

NEW YORK — Metro-North officials said it was "impossible to tell" how long they will remain in a heightened state of alert. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority police presence has been stepped up with more plainclothes and uniformed officers on duty, plus canine teams and emergency service units.
