Sacramento rail car builder excited at prospect of high-speed rail

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — There's more good news for one of Sacramento's few heavy industrial employers. Siemens Rail Systems has just received a $210 million extension of it's contract to build light rail cars for San Francisco, on top of a nearly $650 million contract last year for 175 new cars.
