House votes to rescind high-speed rail funds

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The House on Friday voted to rescind more than $1 billion in high-speed rail funding in order to fund flood relief efforts in the Midwest. The Democrat-controlled Senate, however, is likely to take a far difference approach, and may well restore most — if not all — of the high-speed rail funding.
