In California, Madera Co. board favors high-speed rail route

FRESNO, Calif. — Madera County supervisors are endorsing a high-speed rail route along the Union Pacific line and Highway 99 between Fresno and Merced, which they said is the least disruptive for county farmers. It is part of the ongoing debate surrounding development of high-speed rail in the state.
