California's high-speed rail draws Spaniards' attention

SAN FRANCISCO — Despite the hammering California's high-speed rail project has taken lately, outside players appear to be as interested in it as ever.
Spanish trade officials and executives from Spain's high-speed rail network are in town this week, offering the benefit of their experience and, perhaps, some help.
Working with private partners, Spain began building its system 20 years ago, has the second-largest network in the world - China is first - and it operates profitably.
