JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — An American high-speed rail delegation has returned after spending last week examining Spain’s train system.
Missouri state Rep. Charlie Schlottach, an Owensville Republican, said Monday that the group spoke with officials about the development of Spain’s high-speed rail system. The delegation examined expansion plans and rode a train from Madrid to Barcelona.
Schlottach is the chairman of the Midwest Interstate Passenger Rail Commission.
He said the trip would help states in planning high-speed rail corridors in the United States.
