Tampa, Fla. (CSX)

A remote control derailment occurred at the CSX Yeoman Yard terminal, located in Tampa, Fla., on the morning of August 27. Train No. 652 (bound for Jacksonville) doubled tracks 5 & 3 together at the North End of Yeoman Yard at approximately 0430 am. After their departure, Remote Control assignment y390, with locomotive (6009) pulled a cut of cars out of a track not realigning the switches left by the departing train. Unaware that the switch was run through, y390 made a reverse move and derailed three cars, two boxes, and one loaded tank (contents unknown).
