Federal Railroad Safety Improvement
Act of 2007

Rail labor is united in support of the Federal Railroad Safety Improvement Act of 2007, a bill that would provide sweeping reforms to railroad safety regulations and vastly improve the quality of life for all railroad workers.

The bill, H.R. 2095, was introduced May 1 by Rep. James Oberstar (D-Minn.), chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, following lengthy consultation with supportive rail unions.
