2014 BLET Third National Convention hotel deadline extended to September 3

CLEVELAND, August 29 ó Delegates and guests now have until 5 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in order to make hotel reservations for the BLETís Third National Convention at the guaranteed $99 special convention rate. There will be no further deadline extensions after September 3.

The convention will be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. After that deadline passes, all guest rooms in the BLET block will be returned to the Rio for re-sale and the BLET will no longer be able to guarantee room availability. Additionally, rooms that may be available after that date cannot be booked with the BLET discounted convention rate.

Those who have not yet made a hotel room reservation may do so online through the BLET National Division website. Reservations can also be made by calling the Rio at (888) 746-6955 and referencing group code SRBLE4.

The BLETís Third National Convention will convene at the Rio in Las Vegas from Monday, September 29, 2014, through Thursday, October 2, 2014. Delegate registration begins on Sunday, September 28. Approximately 500 delegates will represent over 38,000 active locomotive engineers and trainmen throughout the United States. They will be charged with nominating candidates for National Division office, analyzing and voting on changes to the Brotherhoodís bylaws, and various other important duties.
