Fund established to assist young BLET family

CLEVELAND, December 3 — The members of BLET Division 160 (Harvey, N.D.) are rallying around their Vice Local Chairman who is struggling through a difficult time due to a death in the family.

At just 32 years old, Brother Jeremy C. Thorson is charged with the care of his three younger siblings following the unexpected passing of their father.

Brother Thorson’s father, Kevin Goldade, died unexpectedly on November 12. Mr. Goldade was a conductor who worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway. He was at his home when he suddenly became ill and later died at a hospital in Harvey, N.D. Jeremy’s mother, Bobbi Goldade, had died unexpectedly in 2006.

Following the unexpected passing of both parents, Jeremy is now left to care for his three younger brothers and sisters: Karly, 14, Hunter, 12 and Kolby, 11. In addition to these three, a fourth sibling, Jacob, is an 18-year-old freshman at Bismarck State College.

Jeremy will soon be making application to the state to become the legal guardian of his younger brothers and sisters.

In the meantime, the good Brothers and Sisters of Division 160 have established an account to help young Jeremy. Brother Craig Thurow, Local Chairman of Division 160, said donations would be used to offset the children’s day-to-day living expenses.

BLET members throughout the United States who wish to lend a helping hand to Brother Thorson can make checks payable to the “Kevin Goldade’s Children’s Fund” and mail donations to:
