Large mudslide shuts down train service between Seattle, Everett

SEATTLE -- BNSF Railway tracks re-opened to freight trains earlier this evening, according to BNSF spokesman Gus Melonas. However, passenger trains cannot resume service until 48 hours after the slide. Crews worked throughout the day to remove 8,000 cubic yards of material, Melonas said.
