Metro-North completes signal system upgrades at seven locations

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Metro-North Railroad has completed federally ordered upgrades to its signal system at five moveable bridges and two critical curves on the New Haven Line to automatically stop trains when engineers fail to slow down, the railroad announced Sunday.
