Trial moves forward in Midland Veteran's Day parade lawsuit

ODESSA, Texas — Hundreds of documents have been filed and a number of hearings have been held to determine the fate of a lawsuit against Union Pacific Railroad and Smith Industries, but it’s still six months before the trial is set to happen. After the Nov. 15, 2012, train accident in Midland that killed four veterans and injured a number of others, lawsuits were filed in both Midland and Dallas.
