Negotiations signal hope for imperiled Amtrak line through Indiana

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The state and Amtrak are negotiating the continued operation of the Hoosier State passenger rail service, which runs four days a week between Indianapolis and Chicago, and stops in Lafayette.
