NJ Transit board approves $17 million to repair waterlogged trains, stations

NEWARK, N.J. — Nine days after New Jersey Transit approved up to $19 million in parts and emergency repairs for trains flooded with saltwater during Hurricane Sandy — plus $1 million for repairs to Hoboken terminal — another $17 million was approved today for eight contracts related to the Hurricane Sandy recovery program.
