Missouri House Democrat proposes prison time for legislators who introduce anti-union measures

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — A plan by Missouri House Democrat Jeff Roorda would send colleagues to prison for proposing legislation limiting collective bargaining rights. Roorda said he was "inspired" by the Republican approach to protecting gun rights and he wants to do the same for unions. Both measures would give lawmakers prison terms of up to four years for proposing gun restrictions or anti-union bills.
