N.C. republican files bill in state senate to tap N.C. Railroad for millions

RALEIGH, N.C. — The state-owned N.C. Railroad would be required to sell off some real estate, pay millions of dollars in dividends to the state, and submit to more thorough state oversight under legislation filed last week in the General Assembly.
