NJ Transit trains record best on-time performance in 2012

NEWARK, N.J. — On the 30th anniversary of the creation of NJ Transit rail operations, agency officials said its trains set a record last year of a 96.4 percent on-time performance, breaking the previous record of 96.2 percent set in 1995. Officials said this happened even though the agency is operating nearly 23 percent more trains than in 1995.
