Stimulus funds provided impetus to get BNSF bridge project completed

BURLINGTON, Iowa — Behind the gray clouds and spitting rain, there was a silver lining shining down Thursday morning on the Port of Burlington. Or maybe, a weathered-steel lining. A couple hundred BNSF workers and community leaders met at the port, despite the rain, to celebrate completion of the new BNSF Railway Bridge just south of the port.
