Amtrak might reroute in Kansas because of deteriorating tack

TOPEKA, Kan. — Kansas may lose a significant stretch of Amtrak’s Southwest Chief passenger train service because of deteriorating train tracks and the state’s refusal to spend millions to fix it up.
