CN sells remote control business to Cattron
(The Canadian Press circulated the following story on October 15.)

MONTREAL -- Canadian National Railway Co. has sold its remote control business, used by major North American railroads in yard switching operations, to the Cattron Group Inc.

Terms of the deal between CN and Pennsylvania-based Cattron were not released. Cattron's principal operating company is Cattron-Theimeg Inc., which produces remote control products for locomotive and rail operations, overhead cranes and material handling.

CN's remote control business was separated from the railway's former Canac Inc. subsidiary before it was sold in April.

CN (TSX:CNR) is Canada's largest railway with operations across Canada and mid-America, from the Atlantic and Pacific oceans to the Gulf of Mexico.
