BLE International Division convention to begin today MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Sept. 24 - The BLE's Seventh Quinquennial Convention in Miami Beach will begin at 9 a.m. today with a moment of silence for the victims of the September 11 attacks. Bagpipers preceded a Color Guard made up of members of the U.S. Marine Corps stationed in Hialeah, Fla. Business will commence after the playing of both the U.S. and Canadian National Anthems. International President Edward Dubroski will call the 625 delegates, who began arriving over the weekend, to order. The President will give instructions to the delegates and the Advisory Board will be introduced. Various committee reports will be presented and President Dubroski will give his State of the Union Address. The General Secretary-Treasurer's report may also be given on Monday.
